Geotech conducts VTEM surveys with the extremely versatile Eurocopter Astar helicopter. Other types of helicopters have been utilized in previous surveys, but the Astar is the helicopter of choice. This helicopter has the necessary sling load capacity and endurance to efficiently fly VTEM surveys. Depending on the survey terrain Astar BA, B2 or B3 model is utilized.
